Product Overview
MCP3202T-BI/SN is a 2.7V dual channel 12bit A/D converter with SPI serial interface. It is a successive approximation 12bit analogue-to-digital (A/D) converter with on-board sample and hold circuitry. It is programmable to provide a single pseudo-differential input pair or dual single-ended inputs. Communication with the device is done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. This device is capable of conversion rates of up to 100ksps at 5V and 50 ksps at 2.7V. It operates over a broad voltage range, 2.7V to 5.5V. Low-current design permits operation with typical standby and active currents of only 500nA and 375µA, respectively. Application includes sensor interface, process control, data acquisition, battery operated systems.
- Analog inputs programmable as single-ended or pseudo-differential pairs
- On-chip sample and hold, SPI serial interface (modes 0,0 and 1,1)
- Low power CMOS technology
- 12clock cycles conversion time maximum (VDD = 5.5V, VSS = 0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- 100ksps maximum throughput rate (VDD = VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Integral nonlinearity is ±0.75LSB typical (VDD = 5.5V, VSS = 0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB (VDD = 5.5V, VSS = 0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Offset error is ±1.25LSB (VDD = 5.5V, VSS = 0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Total harmonic distortion is -82dB typical (VIN = 0.1V to 4.9V at 1KHz)
- 8 lead SOIC package, industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
